AN ELEVATED STEAKHOUSE EXPERIENCE IN THE HEART OF MIDTOWN MANHATTAN

Brought to you by restaurateurs Simon Oren and Dudi Sasson, and designed by Scott Kester and Dudi Sasson, Monterey builds on the best of the city’s time-honored steakhouse tradition, with dusty pink banquets, crisp white tablecloths, and culinary theater that evoke the golden age of New York City dining. 

The dishes on Executive Chef James Tracey’s menu draw inspiration from the diverse cultures and traditions that make up American cuisine. The New Orleans-style Barbecued Prawns are made with a blend of 25 spices and served with Anson Mills grits, grown in the mountains of the Carolinas. The Truffle  Lasagna features layers of delicate house-made pasta, and a creamy black truffle fonduta, and Bananas Foster is prepared tableside, with flaming rum and candied pecans.

With a focus on incredible quality steak, Monterey’s menu features something for everyone. For weekday breakfast, dive into Steak Hash with peppers, onions and a fried egg. For lunch, our French Dip is made with prime roast beef, caramelized onions and provolone, served on a toasted baguette with pickled cherry peppers and au jus for dipping. For dinner, enjoy a selection of prime dry-aged steaks, or our show-stopping Prime Rib Cart, carved at your table, and served with your choice of sides.

All steakhouse meals should begin with an aperitif, the best of which comes from our Martini Cart – create your own or allow our ‘Chef de Cocktail’ to surprise and delight you. We are exceptionally proud of our Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence accolade, and our expert sommeliers, overseen by Beverage Director Aviram Turgeman, who will guide you through our French and Californian-focused wine list.
